Addiction Awareness Week: bringing addiction out of the shadows.
Action on Addiction launched Addiction Awareness Week to further raise awareness of addiction and also to challenge the stigma associated with it. We were overwhelmed by the momentum generated around the week. In total, the week itself produced 446 pieces of media coverage – online and in both broadcast and print media - in the UK and overseas. In addition, our own gala dinner, which our patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge attended produced 429 pieces of coverage alone.
